THOUGHTS ON HOMER FROM A GARDEN IN WALES

A newcomer to Gallybloggers, Ulysses, charms us with what may be the beginnings of an epic on the days of Homer. Please, enjoy!

  1. Good morning John,

Welcome to Saturday! We trust you arrived at the weekend in fine fettle feeling like James Bond being handed a drink by Dr. No, “medium dry martini, lemon peel. Shaken, not stirred,” or should that be as secret agent Henderson corrected, “That’s, um, stirred not shaken.”

Thank you good friend for giving wind to Ulysses sails. I trust they billow and blow the young adventure to a land of poem and prose. Should their work become an epic, Gallybloggers hopes it will be shared here: and why not, life is an adventure, and we the Homeless are snails unbounded by tradition, untroubled by convention, fearless in the face of adversity and challenge, and have stories to share: rich earthen grounded yet fantastical, bursting with mystery and legend, folk-lore and fable. We are the storytellers of the modern age!

Thank you big fella for standing strong as an oak when all around other trees are bending

    Namaste

      1. Thank you John, no matter good friend. WP is temperamental these days, perhaps because it is becoming so popular? The poem is now being read on your side of the pond and is promoting our good work and honest intentions. That and people’s enjoyment in reading it is all that really matters 🙂

Thank you again good friend. Take care.

        Namaste 🙂

        1. You are right, of course, good friend. It really doesn’t matter if a post is read the day it is published – as long as it is read! I’m privileged to share the fine work of Gallybloggers and of yourself.

              1. Hey John 🙂

Excellent! Then Ulysses is away with good grace and a fair wind in her lofted sails! Thank you for mustering a blustering billowing sails, carrying the Argo onwards for miles and miles!

                Namaste 🙂

                  1. Hey John,

Thank you for support and gracious ceremony 🙂

Yes indeed up late again with plenty to keep me busy on the Gallyblogger’s computer! Whilst they are elsewhere, perhaps sleeping (safely I hope) I am left with the task of publishing 🙂 They must trust me to be so cavalier with their access codes lol 🙂 The fools bwahahaha!

I shan’t be long at the proverbial desk before I too shall head for the Land of Zzzzzzz. The Sandman he calleth me as a whisper from afar, ‘Come Dewin,’ he quietly says, ‘The Dreaming Door is ajar.’

Good night John, enjoy your afternoon and evening. Nos da,

                    Namaste 🙂

                    1. 🙂 Always a pleasure to treasure friendship and leave small comedy, lines rhymed in the wee small hours, to say ‘thank you’ from me to thee. 🙂

Thank you and goodnight! Dewin has now left the building 🙂

Sweet dreams for when you get to Zzzzz dude.

                      Nos da!
