CALL TO ARMS!

Homelessness is a blight upon civilization and should not exist at all. Dewin Nefol of Wales, UK, spends much of his spare time working with the Homeless. Nefol created the Gallybloggers website to showcase the poetry and prose of the Homeless in the hope that someday, financial assistance and greater social and political awareness will be awakened. I have committed myself to help Dewin Nefol in this great cause. I urge you to consider helping as well. You can contact me privately through the CONTACT page on this site or contact Dewin himself. Thank you!

    1. I hope that transmutation occurs sooner rather than later, Tina. I enjoy working with Dewin on behalf of the Ravens and hope I can be of some small help in their cause.

        1. You are so kind in your words to me, Sis. I agree we need more actions of the heart in this world – people reaching out to others in need. Hugs!

  1. Greeting Good Sir John of Ontario!

How the devil are you kind sir? Well we hope and thriving, nay flourishing in the late summer sunshine Welcome back to Gallybloggers here in the heart of Wales, UK.

Your sterling words and tremendous gesture of on-going support and encouragement has elevated our spirits and truly given all at Gallybloggers a sense real purpose to what we do here on Gallybloggers. Your generosity is but one small part to many aspects of you that are visible to all in life, but Gallybloggers have also quickly come to understand that there is a well of Spirited Love within you that has underpinned the friendship and support shared and mutually benefitted from. Raven’s 12 and the full cast of Gallybloggers are very moved indeed to have you on-board our team and immeasurably grateful to be able to call you a true friend of scarecrows.

With all sincerity and warmest regards, thank you Sir John for being a Knight in shining armour for the Homeless. Welcome to the Gallybloggers Round Table and the banquet always served as a feast…it’s where we ride the whizz of the Wizard Merlin who is always wiz us!

God Bless John, sincerely, thank you. Namaste

    1. You and the Ravens 12 are most welcome. I hope you’ve had a good response today on the Gallybloggers site! I think that once we get organized and rolling, great things will happen. I think that creating the GB site in the first place was pure genius. You can tell the stories of the Homeless until the cows come home, but having a Scarecrow tell his or her own story and daily experience through a poem or a piece of prose is much more effective. Why? As I read their words they become real persons to me – even though we’ve not met. One soul reaching across time and space to embrace another in friendship and love. That is power, my friend. That is what you started. Kudos! I am honored to play a small role from ‘across the pond.’

      1. Sir John,

The response today has been excellent! Thank you indeed to one and all!!

Gallybloggers have received interest from all over the world, from Hong Kong, Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Serbia, India, the UK, and the USA to name but 7! Our humble Blog, and more importantly the words expressed by the Homeless are being read globally. They are as I am overwhelmed by the support and demonstration of interest. We hope with all sincerity that that will grow, and the numbers of people reading, enjoying and reflecting upon our work steadily swell as Gallyblogger’s stretch their poetic wings and fly further from Wales everyday! I am very proud of them all and feel privileged to work with them, to have them share moments in my life bringing warmth to my heart, and to see their happiness when I tell them they are all geniuses loved and cared about across the world. That is what you have helped to encourage, and we at Gallybloggers are blessed by your acquaintance. Thank you 🙂

Personally I have done little more that provide opportunity for small voices to be heard: it is small sacrifice and no obligation whatsoever to assist and do what little I am able with the tools and resources at my disposal. I am inspired to help those who are Homeless, find immense personal reward and friendship in doing so, and truly believe that Homelessness should never again be a blot on Welsh society, for it is symptomatic of far greater social issues prevailing in the modern, wider world. Gallybloggers wants to see Homelessness, and by extension the causes of Homeless resolved once and for all both in the UK and across the World. For Wales, where there are social issues prevailing, it will require massive investment from a Red Labour Government with clear Socialist intentions rather than a Conservative capitalist driven self-serving machine like the current tatty Tory Party in the UK imposing wicked austerity on the UK electorate, and limiting opportunity for Social Security provision to those most needing it.

Gallybloggers are truly honoured to have you sat at the Round Table with us Good Sir John of Ontario 🙂 Thank you always and in all ways.

        Namaste 🙂

        1. This is wonderful news – a global audience! You are right, we need government action to right the wrongs that have created homelessness worldwide. Fortunately here in Canada we have Liberal governments in Ottawa and in Ontario. Change will occur as long as people demand it.

          1. ‘Change will occur as long as people demand it’ – Amen to that Sir John!

The UK Government does need to broaden its narrow-minded, self-centred and traditional worldview way beyond the confines of both limiting vision and an enclosed UK shore-line. There are far better ways to govern the people than by tyranny and austerity, prejudice and discrimination. The arrogance of Governments who do not listen to the demands of their people never ceases to amaze me of the Gallybloggers.

So.. instead of bleakness, here a toast to a far better future Sir John! Long may it be socially minded, liberal, accepting, equitable, fair, reasonable, safe, loving and just for all unilaterally. We don’t think that is too much to ask for when governments have had centuries of dictating terms to the people of the world and inflicting needless and mindless suffering throughout that entire period. It is woeful and terribly shaming on them all, and in the bigger picture, damning on the rest of us who have stood by and allowed things to determinate in society around us.

We’ll drink to a bright RED future with provision made to remove Homelessness and the causes of Homeless for good! Amen! ‘Bottoms Up!’

God Bless. Namaste good friend, take care of one and all.
