  1. Good evening John,

You have been a tor-de-force over the weekend in both spirit and support, and once more we write with gratitude for your continued show of strength. Both I, Dewin and Raven’s 12 cannot express our thanks enough.

Merope will be charmed…her poetry has encouraged a wonderful response and Gallybloggers are delighted for her. Thrilled in fact! Thank you firm friend of scarecrows and BFF to a Raven 😉

We have a permanent pitch set-up for you: make yourself at home 🙂

    Namaste 🙂

    1. I’ve been so swamped of late that I’m getting to these posts a little late – and for that, I apologize. I’m happy to have the Ravens on my site. I think their work should be published too as proof that they have wonderful minds and souls to contribute to the rest of humanity. Thanks for posting them, Dewin!

      1. Hey John,

Thank you indeed for high praise and further generous encouragement, the scarecrows are smiling, their straw all a flutter 🙂 There’s never a need to apologise when it is you who show kindness to us. Thank you!

The idea to publish is a truly wonderful suggestion, and you have our minds spinning just thinking about it. I can see it being an opportunity to further promote the social issues surrounding Homelessness and to do so at ‘street-level’. Perhaps there may be opportunities to receive support from existing organisations who publish material supporting effective programmes to help alleviate poverty. For example, in the UK, we have a newspaper called the BIG Issue – an award-winning magazine offering employment opportunities to people in poverty, that has become a multi-million pound social investment business supporting enterprise to drive social change. For over 25 years The Big Issue Group has strived to dismantle poverty through creating opportunity, in the process becoming one of the most recognised and trusted brands in the UK – which may offer collaboration. There are also a number of charities operating within my City that deliver services to the most needy in society who again may assist with an idea to publish. I shall make enquiries and see what leads may be found or otherwise chased down. Thank you for the idea! 😀

I will pass all comments on to Merope when next her path crosses mine. She will be overwhelmed, and I hope able to see the support and friendship she has across the world. When I told her that her first poem had gone stateside, across the ocean, she beamed like a Cheshire Cat. It was priceless.

        Namaste 🙂

        1. I think the magazine idea is terrific. And their collection of poems could be published as an ebook for almost no cost. The government services you mentioned might be able to facilitate spreading the word of an ebook paperback publication. Tell Merope I love her verses and give her a hug for me.

          1. Hey John,

An E-book, now that sounds a very good idea indeed: affordable and cheaply advertised through another publication, the idea grows ever more appealing. I can foresee the charities that work in my City offering assistance as well, they already sterling work and are known to the scarecrows.

John, I am most grateful for guidance. I will make time available to pursue this idea in earnest. If Merope were on-board it would be a big help to have another pair of hands to help. I shall ask. We have computers available in public libraries and perhaps she might be willing to participate further.

I will indeed pass your sentiments on to Merope. She will warm readily to the hug 🙂

            Namaste 🙂

                1. Yes, I know how to take the final manuscript and create an E-Pub file ready to upload to Amazon. We can figure it out. I’m also learning how to format a Word file for a paperback on Amazon’s Createspace.

                  1. Technical capability never was my forte in life, so I thank you for being more I.T literate than I. I learn but slowly and thoroughly.

I’ll follow up on opportunities discussed and email you accordingly, let you know what is going on.

                    Sincere thanks dude 🙂

                    Namaste 🙂
